If there's actually any substance to YOUR dislike for our president, what is it?

Why do people hate him for Katrina? Oh, yeah, I forgot...sorry, silly me. I forgot the whole thing about him being God and being able to control the weather!

Emu, I TOTALLY agree with you!! As you said, he is not God, and cannot control the weather. Bush has done great with what he was handed from the PRIOR administration. It seems nomatter what he does, he can't please em'. Church and state has NOTHING to do with his stem cell research decisions. He made a middle of the road decision... it wasn't dramatically one way or another. If he was trying to impose his religion on you, he would have banned stem cell research all together. He reacted to the intelligence he was given. HILLARY and KERRY voted to go to war. Did he trick clinton when he was president into believeing saddahm had WMD? Give me a break!!
ITS all about bush... and I KNOW I am goind to get TONS of thumbs down for my support.
On the latter, we could get Hillary and she said that she is going to TAKE the profits from private businesses (communist act) Listen to her speach, she said it... not me.
People need to quit thinking of how to spite the prez, focus our attentions on WINNING this war, and supporting our troops, not dis arming them. Have you thanked a soldier lately for fighting for what we take for granted? How many deaths does it take to free a country? How many died on d day alone? Do you think it was worth your freedom?
Its all about bush... ;)

Latest trend? He never had my support, and I was against your war, there, from day one.

I don't like him because of the war. And yeah, the God stuff has no place in government. The middle east has always been run by religious leaders... how's that working out for them?

I don't blame him for 9/11 or the Katrina aftermath, though. That's just stupid. No president can stop a terrorist attack. That's the responsibility of the CIA and FBI more than anything. And it's hard to send quick, effective medical help into a place where people are going apesh*t and shooting at your helicopters.

I'd also like to add that the Democrats aren't much better. The only reason Bush has won these two elections is because his political opposition sucks, too.

I would say that this is not a trend, but something that has a lot of substance in it. As I am a veteran and because of that I can relate to the issues of our young people in the service. There are several reasons that people are upset with the president. You will find the main reasons is the fact this war was as result of incorrect information and many parents have children who are fighting in this war. There are a lot of people encouraging this war by they have nothing to loose. Most people who support the war do not have family involved, they are not involved yet they have a lot to say. So if you don't understand why people are upset with the president, at least have empathy for those who have lost children or other family in this war.

I think it is, everyone hates him because of the war and katrina. I was over in the war so I support it, cause I seen first hand, But I agree with Katrina, he did kind of drop the ball. I think let history tell us if he was a good president or not. Like all the other Presidents

So much to choose from, but using false pretexts to invade a country that was no threat to us is a good place to start. I avoided the rush and started hating him a long time ago.
And as for being god and controlling the weather, well he does claim to receive instructions directly from God, which either makes him evil or looney tunes.

Hating Bush has been around for quite some time incase you had not noticed. MY dislike for our president stems from the fact that he got us into a senseless war for no good reason and against the wishes of the United Nations therefore we are spending billions and young men and women are dieing? Would that be a good enough reason? Or is the deaths of innocent people not good enough? (If I need to go on, let's look at the aftermath of Katrina which to this day has not been dealt with)

Hating Bush was more of a "trend" like 3 or 4 years ago. I wouldn't say I particularly HATE the guy, but I do disagree with most of his choices. I would rather not get into that because this topic tends to REALLY piss me off and I'm in a good mood today! :)

I don't like Bush for MANY reasons. There's not enough room here for me to type up why I don't like him. So, yes. By the look of our House of Reps, hating Bush is the latest trend.

I don't actually hate Bush.
But since he is a public figure and an elected official and the leader of our country, he is open to criticism.

And boy, does he deserve LOTS of criticism.

Where to start?
Hmmmm...how about three points:
1. the so-called "Patriot Act" and its stripping away of our civil liberties and freedoms;
2. the lies that led us into the invasion of Iraq (let alone his idiotic "stay the course" mentality);
3. the lack of attention for the people back here in America - from education, health care, jobs.

Hope that settles your question!

I like Bush, personally. I think it's worth our while to have someone in office who's willing to stand by his decisions.

The reason Bush-hating is in is because the media is and always has been liberal. They want to take from the poor and give to the poorer. The media has the most influence on the styles and trends, so, of couse, it's in to hate the republicans.
