DCS drug tested my sister-in-law and her ex-husband who are in a custody battle for thier 2 kids. Both of them failed the drug test for multiple drugs, and needless to say neither of them got the kids (thank god) the kids are safe now with grandparents and everything, but my question is: my sister in law who failed the drug test for DCS is on house arrest probation for a drug felony, can DCS tell her probation officer about the results? or is the drug test confidential since her probation officer didn't personally administer it? beleive me, i'd like to see her locked up or in rehab, im just not sure what all DCS is allowed to do regarding the test results.

Absolutely. The DCS most certainly can inform her probation officer of her violation of the terms of her probation...and they should.

DCS is a State run agency and they can and will share the results with the probation dept. I am very glad that the children are safe now and in a better environment. Good luck to you and your family.

No. Her probation officer would have to run an individual test. The probation office could 'request' that info, possibly - but it would be easier and less time consuming for them to do their own.

I'm sure they can. When you are on probation, you are not to be doing anything illegal, and if you do, how your probation officer gets the information is of no consequence.

I sure hope so. Anyone who is so helplessly hooked and can't get off drugs to insure getting custody of their own children need to be removed from the gene pool.
