men are insecure, as well as some women, they just feel they have to be in a relationship all of the time, due to their low self Worth's, they need the emotional crutch when they break up with someone, because they are immature. yes he may go back to the other girl once she comes of age. the other girl flattered him boosted his ego, he was free, so he went for it.

Not just guys... People in general. Have you ever heard the phrase "on the rebound"? Everyone has done it at some point. Sometimes it's because you don't really care either way about a person you had been with, and want to try something new. Sometimes, you care too much, and when something goes wrong, you need a quick fix to take your mind off of it. If used sensibly, there's nothing wrong with this tactic. It is not always necessary to sit around and wait for some "sign from above"; life goes on even after a relationship is over. As far as your friend goes - she has eyes, she can make a decision whether or not to pursue a relationship with a guy who behaves in this manner. He does what he feels is right, and she should do what she feels is right for her.

Here we go again. More stereotyping.
Girl, I can think of dozens and dozens of examples of guys who did NOT jump into a new relationship right away after a breakup, and dozens and dozens of examples of girls who DID.
What you are dealing with is immaturity, and that is not necessarily a gender thing, though it IS true that guys tend to mature a little slower than women... generally speaking. There are lots and lots of exceptions.
It sounds to me like you are dealing with teens. THAT is the problem. It is not because he is a guy. It is because he is young, doesn't know what he wants, and doesn't know how to get or keep it when he has it. That said, there are some guys and girls that age who are more mature and don't have this problem, and there are people who will never mature and will be like that all their lives. My suggestion for your friend is to dump the guy and look for someone who wants what she appears to want: a serious and MATURE relationship.

Could be due to immaturity, could help get past the previous relationship, could be a fear of being alone, could be a sex issue, or he could just be a prick that likes to hurt women. But in defense, not all guys are like that. There is a solid 0.01% of us that actually use our hearts instead of the brain between our legs. We're like the Marines......the few....the proud....the good guys. Advise your friend to stay away from this guy, he's a heart break waiting to happen.

Sex?
Also some people cant deal with being alone after they have been with someone. They cant define them-self as an individual they NEED to be part of something larger, but at the age your talking about - ill stick with hormones and he will leave any girl for any other girl that suites his fancy (as mom would say).
Tell your friend to move on as well, if it was meant to be it will be.

This was never the case for me. The last relationship I had that broke up (I'm happily married now) took me over 2 years to even date again. The girl who broke up with me had 2 boyfriends and was married before I began to see someone else.
