Hello Sara, First wet the rug with a little water . then add salt. leave like this for 5 min´s . then blot with kitchen roll remember cold water never add heat or you´ll never get it out carry on doing this still you are happy the stain is out. once you are happy use some of your own hair shampoo to clean a little rinse of soap suds ,if the rug it not to big you can roll it up in a big bath towel this will help to dry it quicker , but better to dry in the fresh air . don´t dry with your hair dryer to up the drying natural air is best

Pick out the chunks the best you can. Then get an old towel and a warm iron. Lay the towel over the spot, and iron. Move the towel after each ironing, to keep from redepositing wax. A steam cleaning may work if the water is really hot adn you use some Orange Clean in the water to cut the wax. If it is colored wax or a light carpet, I have no advice for that. Sorry.

Let it soak in cold water (hot water "cooks" the blood and makes it stick more), then use regular soap, a carpet brush, and a lot of elbow grease

Go to a pet store and get a carpet cleaner for biologicals. Usually marketed for "pee" spots, but most all of them say "urine, feces, blood, vomit" they work good.
