It came FedEx Express. The return address is too faint to read. The name of who shipped it is also too faint. It was shipped Priority Overnight.

I found the tracking #, it shows where it came from & that it was sent to me & that I recieved it. I asked this one person that I talk to online if he sent them, he said yes, but he says that they came from someplace differnet, don't know exately what business they are from or even how much they are made out for. Yet he claims he had his work send them to me.

Under no circumstance try to cash these in.

If this isn't some form of scam, I'm a Martian.

Unless you are expecting money from someone as payment, this is bogus. YOU will be liable when you cash these and the institutions try to get the money from whatever dummy company is the issuer.

I would report this to someone...FTC I think deals with fraudulent things like this.

Small claims court is your best option. Each of you appears before the court, you make your case, he offers a defense, and the judge decides, all without lawyers. Court costs typically run $10-50, paid buy the plaintiff (you). You are wise to avoid using a lawer--ten hours on the job will cost about $3000 all by itself! Bring any and all documents relating to the debt, and have them well organized so that you can put your hands on anything the judge asks for quickly. If the paper trail is thin, you might want to bring a witness who can veirfy your side of theings. One word of caution: you are not appearing on the People's Court, and the judge will not tolerate character assasination as a component of your case. Be businesslike and professional in your approach. Once you have a judgement, you can put a lien on his house and/or vehicles and the order can include an order to pay interest on the debt if there is any delay in settling.

Try looking up the FedEx tracking number.

But I agree - this is probably a scam of some sort.
