Will you ever?

I don't think you will
ever fully understand
how you've touched my life
and made me who I am.

I don't think you could ever know
just how truly special you are
that even on the darkest nights
you are my brightest star.

I don't think you will ever fully comprehend
how you've made my dreams come true
or how you've opened my heart
to love and the wonders it can do.

You've allowed me to experience
something very hard to find
unconditional love that exists
in my body, soul, and mind.

I don't think you could ever feel
all the love I have to give
and I'm sure you'll never realize
you've been my will to live.

You are an amazing person
and without you I don't know where I'd be.
Having you in my life
completes and fulfills every part of me.

I'm... going to have to go against the crowd on this one, I don't particularly like it. You hit rhyme to an extent, but meter is way off, and it's a bit long and flowery for my tastes.

Really, I'm more of an imagery-type person. I like reading things that not only invoke a personal response to verbal stimuli, but also invoke the emotions the writer felt while writing their piece. If it haunts me after I'm done reading it... if I can remember what the words made me feel, then I remember the words. I'm an Edgar Allen Poe fan. "Annabel Lee" and "Spirits Of The Dead" hit me hard, and I love those works of poetry for that. It's nothing personal against your writing, but I'll tell you this: You probably wouldn't like my poetry either.

Trite... overused subject matter, presented as it has been presented innumerable time before. Nothing new or interesting/. It sounds like an adolescent attempt to curry favor with the person for whom the poem was written. And it's also too long and repetetive.

Hi! This has good, consistent structure. You really have a good sense of meter and phrase.

Your poetry suffers from triteness and use of cliches'. I would like to see you continue in your work! You've got talent!

It's great....I just hope the guy you're with is worthy of such devotion. P.S. Can I steal for my wife?

poetry is hard to judge as "good or bad" --- it's not your average "depressive teenage poetry" which gets pretty old after a while. its uplifting and warm. i like it.
