I have already disconnected the battery and replaced the crash sensors and air bags. Are special tools required?

The hardest part is finding it. It usually will be under the seat or under the dash. while the battery is off you simply replace it like you did the sensors. Plug it in and bolt it down. You might still have a light on the dash and you will need to have that reset.

My best advice is to let the dealership do the installation. There is a sequence you have to follow, and certain programming steps that need to be done. There is a chance of blowing the airbag if you don't follow the exact sequence, which will cost you another $700 to $1,000 to replace. Don't take that chance.
