The other day we saw an Owl in the yard, which i thought was very cool. the following night the same owl flew into our living room window. He didn't die, he came to after a shortwhile. What is the superstions involved with an Owl hitting your window?

If it was in real life poor Owl he just didn't see the window there in his flight path. It happens to birds all the time. A dream on the other hand owls are omens of death and someone near you will die. It is also a messenger or guide,particularly in spiritual affairs. It also is associated with magic and wisdom.

If a bird of any type flies in to your home that means someone will die in your family. I've heard that an owl is a sign that something bad is going to happen.

It means you need to close your curtains or blinds. The owl (and birds in general) do not see the glass so they think they can fly through. If you just close your curtains or blinds, they won't fly into the window.
