If your bike has "knobby" tires, I wouldn't recommend going over 30mph.
They're not made for street use. The knobs flex making the bike very unsturdy at speed (it'll be like riding with a flat tire). Plus there is less contact patch touching the road (when you accelerate the tires will have no traction and break free, burn out, spin). With all the air rushing through the knobs, your tires will start "hydro-planing".

Just buy a street legal dirt bike. This way you can ride it to the trails and then take it off road. There arent many that are very cabable on the street... I think Husqvarna makes a good dual sport bike. Do some research in some dirt bike magazines.

Sure,they are called dualies,on/off road etc.Use the right rubber ,true knobbies will burn right up.Assuming this is a real ? it is legal around here to ride atv,dirt bikes,snowmobiles on road side from trail to stores and other short distance.Of course there is always the idiot that racws down main st that we read about in the police log.

u can as long as its street legal..mirrors, lights, etc. not the best idea cuz the tires will get worn quickly.
