does his wife agree to the divorce?? I know in Wisconsin, you have to wait 6 months from the divorce to remarry... (not sure if it like that in Canada??)
If there are kids involved, or property division, I would hire an attorney...depending on the type of person she (ex) is...If she is going to be difficult, or if she herself would hire an attorney, you need one...don't try going the easy way out, you may regret it later...trust me..I have had 2 divorces!! (none my fault...they were both abusive...)

Hire a lawyer. If money is a big issue, call around and see if any divorce lawyers need to do any pro-bono cases. Every lawyer in the states has to do so many a year to stay in good standing in the bar assn. Pro-bono means free.

Whew, he has to pay. it will be worth it. But, if she has a lawyer and he doesnt-he will get the shaft.
I kow it sucks. During my divorce my x and I didint contest a thing but because we had a fair amount of assetts, it took twice as long and cost twice as much as my attorney quoted me. As a matter of fact, she told me the average divorce costs $1700 and she ended up charging me $5200. Now, attorneys are theives and its a good ole boy network. They work together to screw the both of you.

A freedom or a suitable is a state granted permission to do something interior of a undeniable skill that they later set with lawsuits. that's a shaggy dog tale. All of politics is a shaggy dog tale. Telling somebody they're allowed to be loose isn't actual freedom and is even worse being a entire perversion of what a suitable or freedom incredibly is.

Nope he doesn't get to get out of this marriage cheaply. First of all he had no right to propose to you OR to even DATE you to begin with. And YOU are just as guilty since OBVIOUSLY you KNEW he was married. IF his wife left him almost three years ago WHY didn't he file for divorce THEN? Rather than waiting until he is shacked up and commiting adultery against his marriage? If he would have filed for divorce three years ago it probably would have cost him about $1,500.00 and it would be over. Now, considering he is living in Canada and it's three years later it will probably cost him about $5,000.00...he screwed himself when he decided to phuck around.

Better to pay the lawyer since it's an international issue.

Dude, just go hire a frickin' attorney and get it over with. Financial headaches (paying an attorney) are easier to deal with than legal ones.
