True! Its sad that NFL revenue is millions more than any other sport yet they have the shortest season. I'd like to see any athlete play 100+ football games a year

All we can do is wait for April. That's when the schedule comes out and the draft is held. Then we can discuss both impacts on our teams to death. In May-June, that's when mini-camps start. Then in July, training camp starts and we get a small glimpse of what is to be a hopeful season. Come August, it's pre-season, and while pre-season doesn't dictate exactly what the regular season holds, it's still your team playing football and the players who aren't really guaranteed a position really try hard, hoping for a slot and a chance to show their skills off to the NFL fans. And finally, the second Sunday of September (unless you're a Colts fan, then you kick off the season the Thursday before), regular football season is here, and the NFL faithful will rejoice again. I don't think I'll make it, I miss it so much.
Cheers!

Could not have said it better myself. Any sport that keeps you wanting more long after the season has ended is great. Hell why are we all here on Yahoo answers in the football America section? Because we miss the game already.

i agree football is the best sport in the world.the excitement when your team scores and wins football is life even if it is raining or freezing cold i could never ever say no to a game of football some people say sports are boring to watch on TV i agree until it comes to football i would sue people if they quit airing football on TV and i would sue people that would not let girls play football i think football is the best sport in the world and i don't think cheerleaders cheer for attention i think it is to get closer to the game even though i would die if i was a cheerleader i would do almost anything to play football for the rest of my life.and i think my love for football gets bigger when i think of my cousin that played college football and then NFL.and i just don't think i could say in words how much i love football.and anyone who dose not like football will love it after i get done with them cause they are just unAmerican not likeing football to me is like people being racist it is just not right.!.

I read a report that said that when a man's favorite football team loses a big game (playoffs/SuperBowl etc) that there is a drop in testosterone which in turn causes depression. I would be willing to bet that the end of the season causes a similar reaction!
