I'm an American so I really don't know much about this topic... I recently saw the movie "Green Street Hooligans" and want to know if that was an accurate portrayal of Hooligans. Is that what it's really like? Do they hate journalists or was that just written into the story? I'm curious about this.

Never saw that particuler movie, but there si one called "The Firm" which is preety good.

Basically they were organised gangs that arranged fights with fans of opposing teams that their team was playing that week-end. The whole thing then went huge whenever there was an international match as all the leaders got together to arrange fights with the opposing country's fans. It was big in the 80's but not so much now.

As for the portrayal of hating journalisist I never knew that so can only assume that it was written into the story.

you should look at soccer Hooligan history. case in point, the Hibernian informal's. They bacame as notorious to soccer by means of fact the intercourse Pistols grew to become to Rock 'n' Roll throughout their 'Reign of Terror' contained in the 1970's and 1980's. battling contained in the midst of Princes highway in Edinburgh, with Molatov Cocktails (petrol bombs) and different weapons, which includes knives and crow bar's, whilst harmless families the place attempting to do their procuring. that's merely between the examples of their sheer idiocy. crew supervisor's and different club valid's, have attempted conversing to their fan's on the commencing up or maybe throughout video games, that skirmishes have broken out at. many times, a handful of the difficulty maker's will pay attention to those people and funky down. in spite of the undeniable fact that, maximum individuals have went to that activity and been hell-bent on inflicting fights suitable from the commencing up, no longer even going to observe the activity. those people are not actual fan's and not in any respect would be by means of fact the genuine Supporter's of the club, will ostracise those troublemaker's finally for giving the straightforward fan's a foul call. soccer Holliganism is a surprising crime, yet against the regulation merely the comparable, and choose's are actually putting a nil tolerance marker in this. With severe sentences to be exceeded out to all instigaters of this rule. The stands would be a extra secure place for the harmless babies and families, who're merely out for the day to get exhilaration from 'the captivating activity'

Read the book "Among the Thugs" and watch the movie "Football factory" they'll tell you the same things. They are both better and more realistic without having Frodo as the lead character.
