Most Catholic schools have several students whose tuition is partially or fully subsidized.

Poverty should not be a reason for obtaining a Catholic education.

Talk to
+ The school principal.
+ The parish pastor.
+ The local diocesan department of Catholic schools.
+ The local Catholic service organizations like the Knights of Columbus.

With love in Christ.

The best thing to do is check first with the diocese. All things run through the diocesan office and they should be able to steer you in the right direction. Hopefully the diocese isn't too bureaucratic, in which case you can go to a school and request to see the principal, who should know about these things. A parish priest might also know as well. You can always talk directly to the Bishop, he does have the last say about all things that occur in the diocese - Catholic schools included.

Funny thing is I've been thinking about the same thing. My parish is building a new catholic school nearby and a lot of us were thinking about that very same thing. I'm in the Knights of Columbus and we were thinking of starting a foundation dedicated to raising money that would pay for the education of a less fortunate child.

I think, too, there might be a lot of sources that could be found searching the internet, various charities and so forth.

Thanks for the good question. God bless.
