Im going to the doctor to get some tests ran, what will he do? They are so bad, that I've been prescribed narcotics, but I believe they have stopped working. The pain is so bad I can no longer stand it and have to call off work when I get them. I've never had any children.

it could be endometriosis. i have been told i have it, but i dont want surgery to find out. i am on birth control pills. i cant get off of them. when i do, my cramps begin again. they are so painful it feels like my body is on fire. i think your dr was really nice to give you narcotics as i never got sh*t from mine.

I've never been tested for it, but I did get the same thing. When I started taking multivitamins, it helped a bit. I used to have to curl up in a ball on my bed and cry for hours until I could fall asleep around the pain. The best thing that worked for me was having a baby, so far(3 months) I haven't had a single cramp during my cycle, had a few when I ovulate though. Lol. It's not the best solution though. I'm sure the doctor will do a thorough exam and maybe send you for bloodwork. Then he will go from there with either further tests or ways to treat it. Good luck!

Could be endometriosis, you don't say if your flow is really heavy, usually but not always with endometriosis you have a heavy flow and sometimes more frequent periods then what is considered normal. Try to relax about your appointment, I'm assuming you've had a pelvic exam before, if you have then you know being tense only makes things more uncomfortable. Try deep breathing during the exam, slow deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth, it's almost impossible to tighten other parts of the body when focusing on deep breathing. I'm so glad you're going to your Dr. make sure to write down any questions before you go so you don't forget anything once your there. Good Luck hon, try not to worry.

It's possible but I really dont think your girlfriend is pregnant. It sounds to me like what you said, when the sex is too hard it can cause cramps. This happens to me as well so I'm speaking from experience. I don't want to get too graphic but bad cramps often occur when you are doing positions that specialize in deep penetration. Maybe you should try to lighten up a bit or ask her what she wants because it really takes away from sex having those cramps follow up afterwards.

It could be primary dysmenorrhea, like I had a few years ago. It's painful cramps and associated symptoms like nausea and vomiting, fainting and dizziness, etc. My doc put me on birth control to relieve the symptoms, but now I'm off of it, and I still haven't had really bad cramps.

Drink in a lot of water or taken in a lot of fluids a day or two before you are due. Don’t miss a meal during this time. It is mostly due muscle fatigue or dehydration. You can also look for information in the web. I found this website very useful. http://aches.in/cramps.html
