Is it just me, or is this 23 enigma thing blown way out of proportion? To put it simply, I view it like this... 23 is just a number, it is used countless times, wheather it be a players jersey number, the number of twinkees Rosie O'Donell ate before she went on stage, or anything of that nature. While some of you are going to argue that it has a might have a deeper, more philisophical meaning, I want to ask you this. Lets take the number 12... Jesus had 12 diciples, coke comes in packs of 12, the sun is at its highest point at 12 noon, and it is at its lowest point at midnight 12pm. You see! If you look for the number you can find it anywhere in todays world, I mean all you have to do is look for it and you can find over hundreds if not thousands of instances that involve the number 12, if not any other number out there. So I ask you, do you think the 23 enigma is blown way out of proportion?

It is totally hype to support the movie.
Only stupid people would believe such BS. It's a freaking number, that is it. It was the same thing after September 11th, people were saying that the numbers had a special meaning, that the terrorist choice 9/11 because it is an emergency number 9-1-1. Really? They were sitting around in their caves planning to kill themselves as well as thousands of others going "Hey we should attack on September 11th because it is the same number as the emergency number."
Like you said with the 12. You can take any number and find all these things that come with the number.
I have no respect for anyone who actually goes to watch that movie.

Yes, I think they are harping on the number 23 when really coincidences on it are just as common as with other numbers.
But also it's the case that 23 = 0. I have two ways of proving that:
1. Solve the quadratic equation x^2-27*x+50 = 1:
(x-25)(x-2) = 1
So either
x - 25 = 1 or x - 2 = 1
Taking x - 25 = 1, we get x = 1 + 25 or 26.
Substitute 26 into the original equation:
x^2-27*x+50 = 1
x^2-27*x+49 = 0
26^2 - 26*27+49 = 0
676-702+49 = 0
23=0
2. This way is much easier, especially if you are not in to math, although costlier. Go to a movie theater. The headline in the Richmond Times-dispatch read "This number is a zero" when referring to the movie.

They always blow out of proportion events that would cause chaos. Take for example the asteroid that was predicted to hit the Earth. At first in the 80's there were scientific proof to the effect and television reports, which were quickly "disproved." Then it was made into movies in the '90's to further associate the light-heartedness of it all. So is this asteroid/comet coming? Is the number 666 or 999? Does buttered bread always land buttered-side down? Do cats always land on their feet? Is there a significance to the 23 Enigma? who knows.
Ponder this: What would happen if you strapped buttered toast face up to the back of a cat, and threw the cat up in the air?

Yes, people like to create order out of disorder. We are generally uncomfortable with disorder and by assigning some sort of "reason" for the disorder, makes it orderly in our minds. It's still disorderly by scientific evaluation, but we are more comfortable. The year 1212 will have 12 months and 12 days numbered 12, numerous people will have birthdays on the 12th day of each month, but 12 special ones will turn 12 on 12/12/1212 (people will figure out which 12 after the date passes). But, only if the earth survives 09/09/09 which turned upside down is 666. Consider all the correlations of September 11th ( or 911) after the trade tower attack.

Allen Iverson became already prepared with regard to the huge style 3 earlier he have been given into the NBA, so while he observed the prospect to make it into the NBA he became very wanting to be a area of the NBA project. in fact, he's so obsessed that his NBA huge style is 3. yet he's not on my own; the huge style 3 has puzzled and captivated many babies international for some years. only variety huge style 3 or 3 iverson on your browsers and see what human beings could say approximately it. yet be careful, on a similar time as some websites glorify the magic of the huge style 3 (Alexander the large did no longer decrease the Gordian Knot at age 3, Adam and Eve have a minimum of three letters of their names), others exhibit the darkish curse of it(3/0 isn't dividable, the Mayans have faith the international will end on December 23, 2012-if u upload the final 2 numbers it rather is 3). Oh guy the huge style 3 is loopy! Who has a similar opinion with me???

Just as lame as the same questions about the planet uh, er, thingy, Pluto. To me 23 is reduced to five. So, how many fingers are you? One time I was at a Doctors appointment and someone had asked a little kid how old he was. The kid said he was five. The person than asked the kid when he would be six. The kid shook his head as if in disbelief of such a question and said; "After five!!"

I never heard of the '23 engima' until marketing began for that movie. Frankly it's one of the fewer-seen numbers in my life. I have no idea what they're talking about.
I think they're just trying to create fascination with something to promote the movie.
