Because its a separate country - they voted not to be part of the UK back in the 1920s.
Northern Ireland is still part of the UK.

Because we (English) don't want it and also because most Irish people are already in the UK. Wherever you go in the world you will always be able to find an Irish pub and a Chinese Take Away.

interesting remark about the limey wankers given that most certainly here in scotland come to be educated and lots stay, perhaps its not such a good place to live as some make out. anyway they wanted out is why, and hopefully they'll stay out but i doubt it. perhaps you should take them in over in america, you seem to love them ira terorists and all
