I know it's not 'cool' but why can't I get my cell phone to just ring like normal? Like back in the day when there weren't all these crazy tunes when your phone rings.

My phone doesn't have it already in there. It just comes with a generic Virgin mobile song. I think it might have a high pitch squeal as an option too.

Each cell phone has several rings programmed into the phone when you purchase it and some of those are just regular types of rings. Look under "Settings" on your phone menu and there should be a selection for "ring tones" or "ring settings." When you access that menu, you should be able to listen to each ring and choose the one you want.

Different phones have different ring tones that come with them. If you're phone doesn't come with a "normal" ring, you may have to download one you like.

PS: You're not the only person who prefers a "normal" ring.
