You don't learn to be creative-it's just that some of us are more creative than others.
Creativity doesn't just mean being able to write, compose music or be a great artist
Creativity can be expressed in so many ways-the way in which you arrange a hanging basket of flowers-the way you cook a meal and the ingredients you combine-even the way you dress each morning is being 'creative'.
You ';unleash' your creativity by not being afraid of experimentation and by not being afraid of criticism or by not following the crowd.
Creativity is no more and no less than the gift of self expression
and individuality-
And thank God for it otherwise the world would be a drab and uninteresting place

I belong to a medieval reinactors society, and I can tell you, there are a million outlets for your creative energy, and a lot of ways to tap into it. I will give you an example. I am a science geek. But I decided to go to a scribe's meeting in my reinactors society. The teacher at a class there brought out tons of books for us to look at, examples of illuminated scrolls. (This is the artwork around the borders of old bibles). Beginning as a scribe then involved taking elements of those books and decorating a piece of paper with them, just around the bottom and left borders. This was basic copy work really... From there, as you get the gist of the idea, you just work your way up.
So I guess my point is, dive in, see what appeals and discover your passions and aptitudes. You won't believe the places that this kind of adventuring will take you!

People think that creative people just are. If you have a certain outlet that you would like to be creative at, it takes knowledge, research, trying and failing to become creative.
Being creative is essentially doing something people count as new or innovative. Breaking the rules. You have to know the rules in order to know how to break them.

The seed of creativity is self reliant of area and time. it may strike unexpectedly at any 2nd. What approaches and an area grant are the components to coach an theory into actuality. without those, it keeps to be an theory in desire of a "point" to look on. i like domicile protection so for me, my area is the storage. My approaches are in spite of I actual have accumulated from initiatives interior the previous. I shop cloth scraps (wood, metallic, plastic, and so on.) that I oftentimes rework into problems with use and/or attractiveness. i think what's maximum severe are my approaches (and my coffee). i can create in an area with any components. besides the shown fact that, I actual are starting to be conscious of my approaches, as a musician turns into conscious of his device.

Just do it!! Forget what anyone else has told you, teachers, family, friends, critics of any kind. Shut out outside influences and let it rip. Put your hand in a bucket of paint, roll in it , rub it in your hair, dunk your cat in it and create! There are no rules...nail stuff together, twist wire, weld metal together....make something from nothing or anything. A pile of junk, blank wall, dead tree, paper and pencil, mud and sticks are all pallets and canvas. Roll up your sleeves and "Just do it".

I believe it is innate. Some people are better at writing and some are better at art. Also helps if you have a different array of materials to work with. Maybe the right medium can be found, that works well with your abilities. TRY IT!!!!!!!!!!
