Yes she did. But after hours of being essentially preserved with a body temperature around 86 degrees, she was revived. She went through the whole after life thing and saw dead people who were trying to get to the bottom of why she gave up on life when she could swim and had much to live for. Once she came to the realization she was off for life again, but then saw her mom as she was recently dead. She and mom made amends, then Meredeth ran to live and so she did...but we all new she wouldn't die. This isn't that stupid OC actress who said life in the limelight isn't what i want right now so kill me off, but then again that show sucked and Grey's rocks.

No she didn't die, but her mom did and she told Meredith to go back to the real world where she belongs and that she's more than an ordinary women. The show was really good last night and brought me to tears. Please catch it tonight at 8pm at Channel 7.

Long story shortened. Meredith is dead because she said she would never be the kind of daughter to help her mother die. Her mother is going to die and this is going to inspire Meredith to come back either to prevent it or because her mother talks to her on the other side. This will allow Meredith the freedom to be that special person her mother thought she would be. The kicker is that If Meredith is free then she is free to leave, or not, to get married, or not, and to focus on her career, or not. This could really change her character.

You got the answer, No - she didn't die.. It was a great show though.. They rerun it Friday nights on ABC at 7:00 CST I believe.. You should catch it!

No Meredith did not die. She was almost dead when her mother died and told her that she was proud of her nd she wasn't ordinary. Then she told her to run torwards this light that brought her back and her heart started to beat and she lived.

no she didnt die her mom ends up dying and telling her she is not ordinary and to go back . it was an amazing show it had me at the edge of my seat
