How do I play a burned dvd on my computer?

A friend of mine let me borrow a burned copy of both Evangelion movies, but I have no clue how to get them to play on here. Any one know what I'm supposed to do?

Make sure you're putting it in a DVD drive and click play.

Okay its quite crispy, go to your windows media player and select file - open and browse to your cd rom drive, make sure you select "all files" in the drop down button, look for the file which looks like avseqdat.001 and open it and play.
