My computer is a GenuinIntel Celeron I have Award Plug and Play BIOS extension v1.0A.
I have gone to Intel's website, but it was too confusing. Can someone help?
I run Windows 98se w/ 64mb RAM
Any help would be very much apreciated

Thanks for your help! Sorry I should have put more info. I bought the RAM from crucial.com, they scan your system to identify what would fit your system. I put them in, they fit no problem. When I turn on my pc it loads fine and everything runs just like I never installed it. I believe my mainboard in about 7 yrs old. I mentioned this to the "help section" of their website, but that was what they said (the BIOS upgrade)

Crucial is the site I usually go to for ram, great place. Sometimes, though, TigerDirect's Ultra ram is bloody cheap, so I go there time to time.

Most pc's show the ram size for a second when the power goes on. This number may be based on hex or decimal thousands, so it might be off by about 3 percent.

Maybe it did recognize it, but you just don't see any perfomance change because your programs are smaller than the original memory size.

What were you expecting to happen ?

i found out that if you have ram in your PC then out in more put the 1 that is higher in ram first then the other 1 and some times to much is well to much put 2g ram in my PC and it wouldn't pick it up so now i ha a g and 512
