Some tattoo's look really cool and all, but I personally know a few people who got tattoo's when they were young (18/19) and then paid good money to have them lasered away due to not wanting them after all years later – although the lasers are extremely painful and do not do a very good job. If you get one, make SURE you like the design and exactly where they are putting it. Good luck! And yeah I think you need to be 18. There are a few around that won't care though. They may not be the most sterile or careful places though.

You have to be 18 in order to get a tatoo, unless you have a parent signature

I believe you must be the age of majority. Depending on where you live, this can range from age 18 to 21. If you are younger, you must get the written consent of a parent or guardian.

You have to be atleast 18 in order to get a tattoo. My friend is going to get one on her 18th birthday. You have to have a parent to sign papers if you are younger and want to get a tattoo. Anyway...18 is the legal age to get a tattoo.
