I have a large collection of stuffed animals from childhood and additional ones from adulthood. My Mom was not a "pet" person, and my Dad knew I loved stuffed animals so that was always a great gift for me.
I can remember saving my allowance when I was really young for a certain bear or dog or cat, and my Dad would always offer me the difference after I had saved up for months.
I can look at all of them now and remember all the special times when I was a kid.
My kids will get them to pass on when I have gone off of this earth. I have even saved some that they had when they were younger, so that they can be passed down to their children.
You must have great memories of your gran every time you look at your teddy bear. Have a great day!

I still have an orange teddy bear that my gran gave my on the day I was born. I also have a small, stuffed Lucy-doll (Lucy in Charlie Brown) that my dad bought for me before I was born. She's really sweet - however when I was 3 or 4 I was obsessed with freckles so I used to draw freckles on EVERYTHING. So Lucy has a few freckles on her face. :)

I have a 59 year old teddy bear, Good Dreams Ted, that my brother handed on to me when I was 4. It was given to him by our mum, my Gran bought it for her when she was 3.

Of course. It was my first teddy ever. My nan gave it to me when I was a baby.Charlie the blue Hippo. He still sits on the corner of my bed. It's a sentimental thing. It feels like my nan is always with me especially when I'm down and no one is around.
Nothing to be ashamed of.
My boyfriend still has his too.

Yes - he had his 59th birthday last Christmas. He's very well, but doesn't get out as much as he used to. When my Dad got back from the Second World War he made me Edward out of his old army shirt as he reckoned that he wouldn't need it anymore!

Certainly do, she's pale blue and wears a blue flowery dress and was made by a lady who lived 3 doors down from us... she's 42 years old now and her name is Lilybear and I won't get rid of her for anything.
