They are Europeans who fled Europe during the Nazi's and took over Palestine, that's why their skin color is different.

The above post that stated that Jews who are dark are not Jewish is plain ignorance, I must first state. Jews were originally from the land we now call Israel, before being forced into exile some 2000 years ago. The Jews of 2000 years ago looked different to the Jews who have been in Europe for the last 2000 or so years. Due to assimilation, inter-marriage with local populations (which was a common occurance prior to the spread and politicization of Christianity), Jews of European extraction look more European -- physically not much different to the local non-Jewish population of which they are apart, rather than middle Eastern. Many Jewish women were raped in Russia, during pogroms, which also resulted in Jews being born more "white" than their predecessors. As I stated above, the original Jews from more than 2000 years ago in Israel, looked much different to the Jews of European extraction today. However, Jews who have lived in the Middle East or North Africa for the last few thousand years are probably not caucasian like Jews from Europe.

The history looks like this.
1) Abraham lived in the city of UR in modern day Iraq when God contacted him and Judaism was borm , 5767 years ago.
2) Judaism spread as a religion and the Diaspora begins. Jews move throughout the Old World and eventually to the New World.
3) Over a few thousand years the gene pool changed through marriage and conversion and subsequent marriage.
4) Jews ish people are not one nationality or one genetic heritage any longer. They have many nationalities and are of all colors and regions of the world, with the possible exception of Eskimo and native American Indians.
5) Expecting Jews to be semetic is like expecting all Charistians to be semetic since Christ was semetic. The reasons that jews are multi-national and multi-ethnic is the same reason and mechanism as Christians.

well actually people from the western middle east areas like Lebanon, Syria, and Israel are lighter than people in the eastern part of the middle east such as Iraq or Yemen.
Also not all Jews are white. Many middle eastern Jews look exactly like their neighbors.
As for European Jews there naturally has been intermarriage as enviormental conditions that have changed their appearance.

The Jewish peoples are Semitic. Semitic people are a mixture of many races. Browns from India and that region. Whites from the Caucus Mountains. And they probably get prominant noses from the Chittim. Who lived in Northern Africa and were the descendants of the Atlanteans, who were the progenators of the Red peoples.
There was also mixing with Blacks. But they mostly returned to their own
peoples keeping them Semitic, or Brown skinned. Though just as with other peoples, who have all mixed. Sometimes genes will show dominant traits
of ones forbears. As with a light-skinned person being born from dark-skinned, etc.

A good question, keep in mind that the country of Israel was not always there though. It was formed after WW2. Jewish people who now live in Israel have come from all over the world to live there. People having darker skin takes hundreds or thousands of years for their skin to evolve tot heir environment.

MostJews are Caucasians. If you see Jews with darker skin, it is because their ancestors inter married into another race. There are dark skinned Jews from Ethiopia for example. They can trace their blood line back to Solomon and the Queen of Sheba.
