It was a whole lot of hype, and nothing great. As expected, Meredith did not really die. She went from dead to fine by the end of the episode. No brain damage, no nothing. Her mother Ellis did die- that was the death that we were promised. I have to admit that I am rather disappointed with that whole story. I don't know why they would kill off her mother- with the Chief being single now, I thought they would re-explore that relationship.
I don't know why they always make Meredith almost die. She was close to close to death during the episode that aired after the Super Bowl. Remember she was holding the bomb in the guy's stomach. Why not have a storyline around Izzie or one of the others? Izzie has had no good storylines since Denny died. I know most of you will say it's because Meredith is the main character, the show is named after her, etc. But, this is an ensemble show. I like some of the other characters better than Meredith. Bottom line is I am disappointed in the three episode arc. I would like to see some of the other characters used in great storylines!! I hope Grey's Anatomy has not "jumped the shark."

After Izzie's surgery her memory is short term and Alex is getting angry b/c he forced her to have the surgery. Towards the end of the episode she remembers but goes into cardiac arrest. The person who saved the lady from the bus was George. He was trying to tell Meredoth it was him and he did this at the end of the episode by taking his finger and writing in the palm of Meredith's hand 007- Double 07. Meredith figures out it is him b/c tht the nickname they called George in the 1st season. Meredith and Derek did not get married. George needed to be taken into surgery and Izzie went into cardiac arrest and needed Derek.

Why don't you go to the web site and watch it? It'll be on again tonight as well. But a lot happened! It was pretty good, but a little out there. Of course Meredith lived or they would have to change the premise of the show!

It wasn't the season finale, but basically Meridith was in "limbo" for most of the show, and Denny was there to try to help her cope with what she did(she didn't fight for her life when she fell in the water). She realized that she needed to fight and then her mom showed up there with her and told her that she was anything but ordinary. She came back to life after that. Her mother did die though. Derek was torn up because he knew that she could swim really well, but when she came back he was ecstatic.
Christina was the funniest though. While they were working on Meridith, Christina decided to go to a store and shop at the "Get everything for a dollar" store(because she couldn't cope). It was hilarious(and sad at the same time). She ended up at the bar with Joe(the bartender guy...I think thats his name) and showed him all her "crap". Burke showed up and told her that she would regret not being there if her friend died. Christina showed up towards the end. Bailey, the Chief, and Burke had given up on reviving Meridith when Christina walked in and screamed at them to try one more time. They did, and it was after that, that Meridith came back.
George, Izzy, and Alex were all kind of freaked out during the show. Izzy had a big confrontation with Callie and pretty much told Callie that she hated her...blah blah....Anyway George confronted Izzy after he saw the look on Callie's face and pretty much told Izzy that if she didn't learn to be nice that she would lose him. He said, "If I am not making a mistake, then you are going to look really stupid, but if I am, I am going to need you".
Alex still hasn't found the family for the Jane Doe. She has total amnesia.

It wasn't the season finale just the conclusion of the three part episode. Mer's mom dies, Christina breaks down, Izzie yells at Callie, George argues back and now they aren't speaking. Derek cries (so I cried), 1/2 of the show had Denny in it. And Mer...........
lives. You have to go to abc.com to watch it.
