Yes.
I talk too much, my dear daughters say, but then I point to the T.V. that I got so cheaply and other things because I talk, I listen, I'm interested in the world and people.
In 2001, due to negligence I died it took hours to get me back and stabilized. Now I value life and I think a lot, also I go out and obseve people.
The most amazing thing I've discovered is married people don't talk. You go to food halls, restaurants, the park etc.. Married couples sit, eat / munch, they grunt at each other, ask to pass things but they don't talk.
I live alone but talk more to my family. When I worked, as a teacher, I talked with students in class, at recess, at lunch, after school, in school, at shops etc..
I talk to shop people, to strangers, to people who look tired, or down.
Result - I have learnt so VERY very much, especially how great some people are.
NO it is NOT shyness.
I am nobody, you are nobody, no-one is special, we are all just a part of a little species that has only been on this planet for a short time. We do and don't matter. As part of life we are glorious, as individuals we are nothing. But humans are so caught up in their selfish little lives.
"Oh I can't talk, I'm shy, people might laugh at me." RUBBISH. Few people care ( perhaps a few dedicated doctors, professional people but not many). To shy people who think others might laugh at you I insist - write down the names of 100 people you laughed at this week, you can't and they can't either because humans are so wrapped up in their own selfish little lives.
The thing that really makes me mad is the following - Genesis proves there is no God. First it mentions this great being who creates Light. (read about LIGHT it has wave lengths, [the sky is not blue, we just see it that way]; theory of relativity and light is amazing)
Now this being makes humans like him. TOTAL RUBBISH.
No great being would be like a human.
Cheetahs are faster; birds can fly without a motor; elephants are stronger; my cat can jump the equivalent height of a 5 stroey building; etc etc. ; cockroaches would survive a nuclear (man-made) war and ants - well they are just fantastic.
No God would be in human form unless he was an idiot God. So Genesis proves there is no God
AND the one thing we can do -apart from causing mass deaths in war and nature is talk / COMMUNICATE. Do we do this ONE thing we're a good at - No as YOU said it's weird, its also EVIL it's SICK
Be like me and talk to people wether they want to or not.
It's fun; you'll learn lots; you'll admire some people; start with oldies they have vast experiences. The other people will learn and really oddly at the end they will THANK you for the TALK, TALK, TALK .........

This is a type of personality that thrives not on communication, but rather on observation and speculation.
Some people do not feel comfortable with their ability to communicate and they are, not necessarily shy, but they want to know about who is around them before revealing anything about themselves.
I married a man like this, and my entire family thought he didn't like them for nearly 5 months because he wouldn't talk.....he was just feeling the situation out and once he felt comfortable he began to open up.
It's just a personality trait, not necessarily "weird" just....different.
Blessings and Peace

No actually I don't find it odd. Now when you are asked a direct question that's simply rude. I, for example, do not like the American habit of friendly "chatter." I am very reserved and, unless I know people very well, do not care to engage in small talk. Many people around the world have similar views on small talk. It's a cultural thing in many instances.

Personally I think we all need sometimes to be quiet, no matter if we simply don't talk to other persons or lock ourselves in the bedroom...
