Person one is a young girl who regularly gives blood, does a lot of volunteer work that benifits young children and is always mindful that people see her as a good person. She enjoys clubbing and has an incredibly active sex life, often commenting over lunch with her friends on who she's screwed or pleasured recently.
Person two doesn't really like people and in fact never really lets anyone close to himself because he thinks he is a bad person and might hurt someone. Therefore despite being a twenty something like the other person he has never had a girlfriend and is still a virgin. He is regularly "off" with people for fear of getting too close.
Now here is the question - who is the better person? Or who is the worst person out of the two? And before you start asking is this you or people you know they are base elements of characters I'm trying to write about in a story/script and I'm interested in a response. So please let me know what you think.

Additionally some extra info to make this fair the male character has a few scenes where he is really nasty to people, mainly through fear. The girl of course wouldn't be like this because she's worried about what people think.

I think they regularly test blood that's donated don't they? And besides though I've yet to write anything along these lines yet the girl's probably responsible enough to get herself checked out from time to time.

Wow its amazing to me how many people answered this based not on the facts but upon their assumptions from the facts.
The girl may or may NOT think she is better than anyone else. Maybe she just likes to make a difference and cares how other people see her. Caring how others view you can simply mean that you have respect for others and think their opinions should be taken into consideration when determining your behavior and actions. Just because a girl enjoys to go clubbing and has an incredibly active sex life does not mean she is engaging in risky sex. Just because she discusses her sex life with her friends does not make her a "brat" or a "slag" or a "****" or anything else. It makes her normal. How many of YOU never discuss your sex life with your friends?? If this was a guy who was volunteering in social work benefitting young children I bet you'd call him a pedophile but if he was engaging in an active sex life you probably wouldn't call him a **** or a slag or a self-loving brat.
Amazing...
This guy doesn't seem like a bad guy. But there really isn't much information about him except that he harbors alot of fear & a low self-esteem. But notice he isn't a virgin out of virtue. He is only such because he lacks the opportunities due to his standoffish nature. Still that doesn't make him a bad guy. However I see alot of excuses being made for his negative social behavior and none being made for the "negative" qualities perceived in hers. That I find quite interesting.
I would consider the guy to be the worse of the two because at least she is contributing to the betterment of society regardless of her motives. He is just being an *** and making excuses for it. Just my opinion. We all get hurt. Whether you fall means nothing at all... it's whether you get up...

Are they not just different people, life experiences can shape who we are, or how we let the world see us, Just because the first person does what society sees as good deeds, does not make it clear that she is a good person, or does having sex with a consenting other make her a bad person , The second person appears to be no better or no worse than the first. perhaps has not had the opportunity/ confidence of the first. maybe an interesting question for this one, would be who is the most needy ? Do we not all have what society sees as good and bad in our personalities,

i think the girl is bad because she had no consciense when giving out her blood regularly when she had an incredibly active sex life. since its 'incredibly' active, chances are she might got infected with some disease. if she is a good person, she will not gives out her blood at all while she can continue with the volunteer works.
person two isnt bad because he's just being himself and does not physically harm anyone. what he thinks of himself does not made him into anything. its how people see you that matter. for example, a robber might think that he's a nice guy but the public at large doesnt think so.

The young girl is a good person as she is not setting out to hurt anyone, although maybe a little misguided in trying too hard that people see her as a good person. Is this her motivation for giving blood, doing volunteer work, etc.
The young man is not a bad person - he just thinks he is. The way you have written him shows him as someone with very low self esteem. He obviously has issues that mean he can't let anyone in.
It's difficult to say one is better than the other.
I hope that helps!

The young girl seem more confident - at least on the outside. But she might be a bit of a "pleaser". Always trying to please everyone. It's also not healthy to care so much about how other people see you. Her active sex life might be a sign of low self-esteem but it could also just be what it is - an active sex life.
Person two obviously has low self-esteem. He also cares how others see him but he reacts differently to it. I would say that he's more unhappy, since he seems very lonely.
Neither is the worst person - but they both have issues.

Neither is necessarily a bad person by my standards. So far, they're rather two-dimensional characters and are basically neutral...until they do something and interact with another character or something happens to them. It's easy to assume the loner is bad, but it's also predictable to make that person have heroic characteristics. I'd keep the judgement calls murky.

Neither of them sound like bad people, just people with issues like most human beings have in one form or another. The girl is involved in her community and does good deeds. She also may have issues with self esteem since she is sleeping around and has no real direction. The guy is lacking self confidence and has anger issues it sounds like. They are both decent people with underlying problems. They're really not that different except in the way they handle things.

"always mindful that people see her as a good person" sends red flags as someone who isn't actually a good person, just wants others to think they are. I like person two better, at least there is an element of honesty in the behavior.

got to be the girl, she is giving blood and doing volunteer work because it portrays her as a good person, therefore she is doing it for selfish reasons, also if she is being promiscuous she could harm a lot of people through sexual disease or contaminated blood. whereas the bloke is just a bit antisocial but he is not harming anyone.

I feel one nor two are greater than the other. Both have issues that need to be resolved. Can't judge a book by the cover sort of.
Both have differnt coverings, both have good eliments of suprise so to speak.
Both have character flaws, for what ever reason.
