It's sad to watch all you haters justify killing when it benefits your agenda, and condemn it when it doesn't.

You hypocrites. I feel sorry for you.

If you suggest I "Get out" or "join them" then ....

Perhaps you should leave, if you don't like freedom of speech, GET OUT and move to IRAN where you can't speak out against your government.

The 'T' word is exclusively retained for those that have brown skin and disagree with the United States.

Look at the Irish situation. For years they were amply funded through Americans in Boston and other places. They of course were NEVER Terrorists.

EDIT: Slambango.. That is Conservatism for you. My favorite word for them is Hypocrites.

How about learning some history before you start calling names?
The choice for using the A-bomb in Japan was difficult for President Truman. No one was sure of what it would actually do.
He had a choice, use the bomb or send, perhaps a million, more American troops to end the war. We were fighting an enemy that would not give up, they intended to fight with every man, woman & child to defend Japan. Would you have preferred that we loose that many more American lives? We had already lost enough! If the people of this country had found out that he could have ended the war with two bombs, but chose to send troops instead, what do you think would have happened? He made the right choice. We were not terrorists! We had fought two wars at the same time against two very cruel & vicious countries. What those two bombs did was show the world what real horror was, it has stopped the hands of those who hold the bomb today from using it again. However, it may not continue to be an example to those countries that are our sworn enemies. It could happen to us! How would you like that?
No double standard at all. A fact of real life.

I agree, somewhat, with humanist. When the U.S. supports certain groups they are called insurgents, or "freedom fighters." Ronald Reagan said this of the contras in Nicaragua. We supported the terrorists in Afghanistan while they were fighting the old Soviet Union. We supported the Chechen rebels against the Russian government until 9/11 when we needed Russian support in "The War on Terror."

The U.S. has supported (financially, with arms, or through encouragement) uprisings against duly elected governments in Iran, the Congo, Chile, and Venezuela, amongst others. I agree with humanist on the U.S. support of terrorists in Ireland, but I don't agree necessarily with the skin definition.

The U.S., Britain, Russia, and other western countries have and continued to support terrorism. While I do not agree with car bombing or suicide bombing I have to say "collateral damage" is one of the most disingenuous arguments I have heard. Killing innocent civilians in any war is a "terrorist" act, regardless of who commits the act. The belief that in war innocent civilians sometimes get killed would seem to justify the jihadist act of war of flying planes into the Twin Towers. Sure it does. . .

How do we stop this terrorism? By becoming more aware of the world and it's history outside the U.S.

Because Hezbolla and Al Quaida are doing it daily to take over land. WE did it to END a WAR and save as many lives as possible and did we take over Japan???? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!! If we had sent troops in millions more would have perished. I wish people would read a f'n history book before posting an ignorant question.

Can you get your head out of the sand. Hezbollah and Al Queda target civilians and their "war" borders on genocide. Using the atomic actually saved the lives of some civilians. Can you imagine the toll in civilian lives if we had to invade Japan. The estimate was about a million allied lives. How many civilians would have died in that invasion.

Think about that.

Here is a thought for you. The chance are that you would not be here today had we NOT dropped the A- Bomb on Japan. There were millions of men set to invade Japan. The loses on both sides would have been beyond imagination.

for christ's sake...

we were fighting a border bounded country in a WORLD WAR!!! hate the US if you want, but don't you dare fu*king compare us to animals like hezbolla and al queida. im tired of reasoning with retards like you, you seem to be unable to comprehend your own contradiction. the very minute you try to justify pieces of sh!t in the world's @$$hole like hezbolla and al queida, you lose every ounce of credibility you ever had.

feel free to call hezbolla or al queida next time you need international aid, im sure they're just as much proprietors of international aid as the US is....

I think the word, if it is going to be used, should apply to everyone it defines. The problem with this country is that if one is not of middle eastern descent, they do not use it so freely. For example, in my opinion, the Iraq war is an act of terrorism on the part of the US. Many of course will disagree, but I call em as I see em.
