Restarts are a hardware problem.
The software (Windows) cannot cause a reboot (99% of the time).
The most likely cause of a spontaneous reboot is the power supply is going bad. They are easy to replace.
The "BSoD" is usually a driver problem within Windows.
I recommend "rolling back" any updated drivers.
Sometimes, Windows Update will automatically update a video driver or audio driver and it will mis-identify the card, which installs the wrong driver. This can cause lots of problems, including the BSoD.

Hardware might not be the problem, even though it's possible. But, quite often drivers are the one to blame, or even sometimes conflicts between programs. I had similar problem couple of weeks ago, my computer was restarting on it's own, and I found out that it was because of an update that came with Windows update. Just went to system restore, restored to the moment before the update, and since then, no more unwanted restarting for me. So check the things you changed in your computer since the problem started, and you may find the answer.
