I bought a faulty bottle which emptied in my trunk while I drove and now have 4L in my trunk. Will it dissolve or do I ask Mac's to clean my trunk professionally?

I park outside in the winter and live in an apt. so my car is inside for the next 8 hours while at work. I park in a heated garage. Do you think in 8 hours it will dissolve? I don't have anywhere to hang the carpet or warm weather. I also don't have a garage to park in at my apt.

leave your trunk open in your garage and it will evaporate, But you should get it professionally cleaned if you are picky. cause washer fluid does have some toxins in it.

This is a good example of when you should give more information as to what year and make and whether you have carpeting in the trunk. So I am going to assume that you have carpeting. The washer fluid itself is not a big deal. I would use a wet and dry tank
vacuum cleaner after you use a spray carpet cleaner on the carpeting. Spraying it until it is saturated and then vacuum it up and let it air dry. To have it professionally cleaned will cost you more than the vacuum if you don't have one. Might as well do the whole trunk and interior carpeting while your at it. Good Luck!!!

The word is evaporate, and yes it does...but it will take a very long time for that much volume.

Get all the hard liquid out of the trunk, pull out the carpeting and hang in over a fence or something til it dries. pull the spare out too. Wipe the whole trunk good and dry...once everything is dry, put it all back in...

I would definitely have the car truck professionally cleaned. Windshield washer fluid will not dissolve and is highly toxic. It is lethal to cats and dogs, and they are very attracted to it due to its sweet taste.

I would take the car in to have it cleaned as soon as possible, as it is probably leeching into your trunk liner and can cause rusting and other damage.

I do not know if you kept the damaged container, but you may want to notify the store where the washer was purchased, as chances are that there are other damaged bottles that they may not want to sell. Good luck and hopefully, we won't be needing to be carrying too many "winter" items much longer....

relax , go to a do it yourself car wash and use their vacuum to suck all the fluid out of the trunk then get some el-cheepo kitty litter and spread that around in there and vacuum it again in a few days , get Macs to replace the ww fluid and maybe provide the kitty litter .
