Good. I see the Red Sox imploding this year and the o's are never really in the race. As long as the Jays play solid and consistent ball all 165 games, they have a great shot at finishing 2nd.

Halladay is such the real deal too.

it depends entirely on several factors.
1: Do the Yankees Kei Igawa and Carl Pavano begin to perform at a higher level?
2: Does Daisake Matsuzaka pitch as advertised?
3: Does Jonathan Papelbon be the pitcher the Sox expect?
4. Do Roy Halladay and AJ Burnett stay healthy?
5. WHO are the 4th and 5th starters for the Jays?
6: Do the Blue Jays get into situations where BJ Ryan can shut down the other team? If so, then they have a chance.

It depends a lot on the Red Sox. They just went out and spent a LOT of money to upgrade from 2006. 4 of their 5 projected starters throw 85 MPH+
The sox offense has been really reupped. With Lugo and Youkilis in front of Ortiz, Ramirez, and Drew, they will score a lot of runs. The only question the Sox are really not set to answer yet is who is their closer. The Jays have their answer to Mariano Rivera.

If the Sox stumble, or the Yankees big questions of what their rotation can accomplish are answered with injuries or bad performance, they the Jays have a chance at 2nd. Not 1st, because either the Sox or Yanks will be there.

It is very difficult to say. Over 162 games with injuries taken into effect, nobody can predict what will happen. But of the Jays, Yankees, and Red Sox, I like the Jays top 2 pitchers better than the others. I like Chacin as well as I think he will have a monster year. But the rotation has question marks after that and none of the Blue Jays potential starters were injury free last year. The offense though should be on of the best in the league. But so should the Yankees and the Red Sox. The Red Sox and Yankees have more depth in the rotation but lucky for Jays fans, they have question marks as well. For the Yankees, Can Chien Ming Wang perform again like last year? Another year older, how well will Mussina and Pettite do? Can Pavano pitch well after missing so much time? How well will Igawa pitch in MLB?
For the Red Sox, how will Daisuke pitch in MLB? Schilling is getting old. Beckett is always filled with injury concerns. How will Papelbon adjust to being a starter? Wakefield only throw a knuckleball but he is still 40.

So the Jays chances are just as good as the other two. Personally though, I am expecting a third. But I hope I am wrong.

I don't think they'll come close to it. They didn't go out and get any big name guys besides almost 40 year old Frank Thomas. Sox and Yanks improved their teams over the off season and I think they'll finish 1 and 2 again. Jays will be a distant third.

Who cares about second. That's an odd question. Have you already given up hope because you are in the AL East. There is an outside chance of first.

Better than last year. If the pitching holds up and Burnett and Haladay pitch well they could be in the hunt for a wildcard. Anything can happen in the playoffs.

it will go like this:
1. yank mes
2. red sox
3. blue jays

and none of it will matter, because just like last season, the Detroit Tigers will win the AL

i don't see it happening....the yankees will finish 1st again and while I hope that the red sox fail miserably they spent a lot of money this off season

probably not so good. From what I can tell they are signing old players for way too much money, probably 3rd place at best this season.

i personally think its very doubtful cause the yankees have improved and the red sox have improved tremendously. baseball is very unfair because of the uneven payrolls.
