bleeding in the fins indicate blood vessels are bursting.this can be from a number of different reasons but most commonly from poor water conditions (high ammonia or high nitrates....)this inhibites the blood from carrying oxygen properly and basically is an indication of blood poisoning.
get your water checked but in the mean time do a partial water change

Sounds like high amonia or nitrites to me also. Do a 50% water change. You can by tets kits to monitor thie water paremeters, there quite easy.

I have a coldwater tank with a large comet, large blackmoore and large ryukin in. I find goldfish very hard work compared to tropicals as there such huge waste producers. You really need to keep checking the water. You can take water sample to pet stores and they check it for you.

Sounds like ammonia or nitrite poisoning to me.

with this limited info it sounds like either nitrite poisoning or internal bacterial infection.

apparently you have never seen a fish bleed to death they do this mostly in goldfish it is very normal
