on the driver side. the arm that turns the wheel is bent the steele part. what do i do.my dad is mechanic he says he can bend it. what tools does he need. any tips help can i go to the repair shop

frames can be straighten..if that's what your referring to by the steel part....a special machine is used to do this so that the alignment tolerances can be maintained. if your talking about the control arm ...replace it with one from a junk yard...

Cavaliers are pretty common cars. You might be able to go to a junkyard, and see if they have on in better shape than yours, and pick it up for relatively cheap. If your bound and determined to fix it, you might be able to straighten it out a little with a comealong. Depending on how its bent though. I really couldn't tell you without seeing.

what a terribly disjointed question . get a replacement door from a wrecker and get a bodyshop to paint it to match and install it , if your dad is a mechanic i would imagine he would know what tools he needs , right ?
