Your way to understanding of his coming out, and he is a really lucky uh.. (guy friend) to have a friend like you. He may feel uncomfortable going to a gay bar with you the first time or two since it sounds like you two have been together. I would think he'd feel awkward.
Yes he is GAY why would a guy even bring that up if not? You sound like a cool girl that instead of a boyfriend you just made a new gay best friend. Just like the show Will and Grace. Good Luck to you, sounds like you already know how to deal with it.

From the way you put this question, I am assuming he does not know that you are in love with him. So therefore; take his word for it. Why should you bring him to a gay club to see for yourself if he is gay or not? That makes no sense. You are building a world around this & the world is that he isn't gay, but if he really is, then why change him? Move on. Find someone else. But then again, if he does know you love him, & he is lieing.. then he really isn't worth it now is he? I think not. But then again, you are female so you will think he isn't gay & if anything, you will run him off. Good luck.

You can still love the guy and be his best friend in the world even he is figuring out his sexual preference. This doesnt mean to back away or be afraid of what you should do. Just go with the flow and let things happen how they will. Gay friends are awesome and a ton of fun, from my experience, as everyone is dif. But it should be an exciting adventure for you!

He's probably young and has had thoughts that he might be gay. He's been testing himself with you, and maybe other girls, but because you two are so close it may be bringing him to a slow realization that he may be gay, and closer to coming to terms with it. The fact that he told you this bombshell is proof that he really cares about you, but you and him are not going to happen.
YOU are not the person to investigate his gayness, it will be uncomfortable. He needs to go out/come out on his own. You guys can remain friends for a lifetime if you play your cards right.

i dont mean to sound b**chy but maybe u should just let him be. if he is gay then hes gay. sadly enough there is no changing to that. i mean u can still love him but not in the sense of attraction of the opposite sex.(if that makes any sense) cause obviously he wont love u that way.
or u can always ask him how he feels about u. (doubt that would work thought)

Stay out of his gay life. Give him space to figure this out by himself. Taking him to a gay club isn't going to do anything until he makes up his own mind.

It means he is gay or he wants to break up with you but not be mean about it. Therefore, he might be telling you he is gay so he can break up with you without it being about YOU. Good luck.
