Girls tell me Im good looking all the time. But because of my childhood I have very low self-esteem. I was wondering, because don't love myself; Is that the reason people ignore me and think that I am mean or unfriendly? I would like to make new friends but I don't know what to do?

Yes it is true, and I know this from personal experience. I used to wonder why, when I was more attractive than some of my friends, that they were getting more attention from guys. When I finally realized my attitude sucked, and changed it, the transformation was miraculous. I literally had guys cat-calling me as I was walking down the street. Attitude is the most important quality a person has to attract others.

The fact that you don't love yourself shows that you don't love the people around you. As the old saying goes "In order for you to love and respect others, you have to love and respect yourself first." Your attitude about your self-esteem is affecting not only yourself, but the others around you. That is why other people don't love you. Find some qualities that make you feel good about yourself, that way you can boost up your self-esteem. The more love and respect you have for yourself, the more that people will love and respect you. You are not a mean and unfriendly person. It's just a crock the whole world has self esteem issues half the time I hate myself and everybody loves me! But when you are younger people often assume that quiet people are stuck up and snobby and who knows maybe you are if being stuck up means being better than those who choose to name call and ignore you. Don't worry about it is a big world out there and there are plenty of people who will like you for who you are and eventually as you grow up your self esteem will improve good luck

Not really. But lots of people dont tend to like others who dont even have confidence in themselves. I mean, after all how can you be a good friend if your not a friend to yourself?
