My eyes are hooded, so I apply eyeliner just to the outside corner, and a little bit on the bottom lid, and then I smudge it. This defines my eyes without making them sink into my face. Coloured eyeliners should really only be used at night...for day, use neutrals...you don't want to look clowny, you want to look polished. I think the nicest look is a thicker line all the way across the top lid, with a little flick up at the end. Then, very lightly line the bottom lid, and smudge it a little. Put a shimmery eye shadow on the inner-corner of the eye and under the brow. This keeps the eyeliner from making your eyes look to heavy. Also, buy a good quality eyeliner...you don't want to have to tug at your eye.

Not sure what you do.
But learn to perfect liquid liner. Nothing else can create that smooth line. Learn how to do the Marilyn. Meaning small inner corner line that gradually gets bigger towards the outter corner. Cat eye like. Add some great false lashes and this is the perfect for every occasion makeup tip. Add some red lips and nothing will out do you.
Play with color. Sometimes it's fun to use kohl black liner on the top lid and uas a funky bright colored liner on the bottom lid. It makes you instantly look more spontaneous and creative.

well, i tried the liquid liner, i just cant get it to not look like crap. then i tried pencils, and same results. So i went out and paid 7$ for a hard angled brush, and i used a dark eyeshadow. i use the brush to push the powder into the eyelashed. it works for me.
