After not ovulating for the last 2 cycles they put me on Clomid to help me to ovulate. My question is how long did it take anyone else after getting put on Clomid before they became pregnant? I am really hoping that this works cuz I am getting disheartened by how tough it can be. Thanks for all the help in advance! :)

I have been precribed clomid twice and always chicken out
because of the side effect
Yes I am very serious about having a child
i have gotten pregnant and have miscarriages 3 times
I have brought clomid but only take it for one cycle and the side effects were horrible
my doc just gave me a prescription in Dec after my last misc
but had never fill it out I did last week I think I will take it on my next cycle
I know some people call it the miracle drugs
but because of my family history with breast & ovarian cancer
I am skeptical about taking it
So here I am buying it but never have the courage to take them
the Only advise I can give you
is to take it at night because all side effect will occur while you asleep ---that is what I will do next month
and just because you have not gotten pregnant yet that doesn't mean it won't happen
Good luck

Hi there,

I was on Clomid after being diagnosed with PCOS. We tried for almost 3 years to get pregnant and I was on Clomid for about 5 months. It did not help me to conceive however worked wonders for regulating my monthly friend and helped with ovulation. Anyway, 2 months ago my hubby and I decided to give up on all the meds, clinics, poking of needles and constant trips to infertility clinic. Now, I am currently 6 weeks pregnant. Go figure! Good luck to you! Oh and my husbands cousin took Clomid for only 1 month and conceived so I guess it all depends. All the best!!

My friend has been on Clomid for over a year and still isn't pregnant. I hope you have better luck, I've heard it is pretty good stuff. In fact, I have an appointment to get checked and possibly put on Clomid next week.

Best of luck and baby dust!

Clomid facilitates you ovulate. I had to take this to get pregnant. It took 3 cycles with my daughter and that i'm at present 22 weeks with #2. It in hassle-free terms took a million cycle. It relies upon on how long you have been attempting and there are different factors in the previous a rfile will prescribe Clomid. while you're worried i might communicate on your gyno and notice what they say. sturdy luck ~~~~BABYDUST~~~~
