What's more important, the friendship or him knowing that he could have more? Just do it. Guys like knowing that a girl wants more. Although you may just end up being a friend with benefits, but at least you'll know...whether you agree to the benefits part or not is up to you.

i would be honest with him and say something alone the lines that i really enjoy being with him but shairing my true feelings for him. if he your friend he will lission and mabey he might have the same feelings...........
