My grandmother and I were very close. I was semi-raised by her, and I credit her with instilling me with everything good in my life. She was a major influence in my life up to her sudden death of heart failure in 2000.
After her death, my life took a drastic turn from successful to a complete failure. Without my "guiding grandmother light" I felt helpless and unable to deal with life itself.
In 2005, on the 5th anniversary of her death, I laid in bed next to my second wife. I had drunk myself to sleep as usual, and since I had nowhere to be the next day (unemployed) I planned on doing the same when I woke up.
That night I was visited by my Grandmother. She spoke to me, comforted me, and admonished my behavior in life since she had died. We had a very long conversation, and finally I was able to forgive her for leaving without saying goodbye.
The experience was very real. I know it was her, and not a dream. Anyone else have an experience like that?

YEs. I believe dreams are a way that God talks to you. This is my belief it may not be yours.
My grandmother was very sick and before she died I dreamnt about her being well running aournd, eating real food. She was sooo healthy in my dream. She died a few days later. I accepted it becuase I knew she was better.
My friend died in a horrible traumatic accident. One I could not understand why God did this to him. He came to me in my dream and told me he was ok held me and rocked me. I could not see his feet, like he was an angel. At that point, though I could not understand why he had to die, I had to straighten up. I was in such grief over his death. He told me he was ok. I said you are dead and he said noooo im not dead.
My mother has prayed and prayed for my grandmother to visit her in a dream, but she has accepted that god might know that my mother can not accept it.
But my uncle ahs had many dreams of my grandmother.
I know some people have told me- its a dream. But- when my grandmother died, we were holding hands and she kept telling us to help her find Jesus's hand. I know Im not crazy, from experience. I know she is in a better place even though I was not ready to let go of her. But, I will see her again one day. Because we all die. God does not favor no one, when it is your time it is your time. Pray and remebr there is a brighter day to look forward to.
Email me if you would like.
My grandmother also died in 2000. She was the greatestt sweetest woman ever. Wish I could be more like her.

My uncle passed away very suddenly in 1997, the whole family was in shock. At his funeral they played his favorite song " What a wonderful world" A few years later my mother and I were driving past the cemetery where he is buried, when all of a sudden the radio got all fuzzy, came back on and started playing What a wonderful world, that was him trying to say "Hi".
A few later that year my aunt passed away from cancer at 33 years old. That same week my mother had a dream that her brother (my uncle) came to her and said " Don't worry she is here with me." Talking about my aunt that had just passed.
I have no doubt in heaven, or in God, they are always with us.

yes, shortly (like a day or two) after my uncle died (we were also very close) he appeared to me in a dream. i asked him how it was possible for him to be there, he was dead, after all. he told me b/c he had left (to meet me) before he died and had just arrived. the experience was comforting to me, as it was also a very hard time in my life. truthfully, though, as much as i want to believe it was real, i am a skeptic and believe in the complexity of the mind rather than in spirits

Yes, it's happened to me. Congratulations on being able to discern it "wasn't just a dream." You can probably call her to you any time to talk to you. Think of her as you're falling asleep, she may come back to say hello!
