I had AVG before and i was able to repair them, Avast! found some trojans and it told me to move to the chest..i want to repair them instead of letting them sit there..if its possible
Please tell me what to do how to get rid of the virus without deleting the whole file because i think the files might be of some importance..Thanks =)

Avast! gives you the option to move to chest or delete. I always go with delete. If you moved them to the chest, do this. Right click on the Avast! A spinning in the lower right of your screen. Choose Start Avast! anti-virus. when it loads the cd player looking interface, click on the eject looking button on the upper left. On the menu select the Virus Chest icon.

and stay with Avast! It is better than AVG

delete them files, its not worth messing around,if they are system files the operating system needs then it will not let you delete them anyway.i also recommend changing back to avg,i personally never bother healing an infected file and then trying it as most are no good after they have been healed,if you get a download of a file that contains a trojan etc then the file is more than likely to be just a carrier for the trojan and not what its suposed to be anyway.

It will tell you the location of the file for the virus. if u have windows xp, click ur start button and hit search on the right colum, after that open ur anti-virus program and look at ur quatine or virus, it should tell you the location of the file.. when ur in the search click all file or folders. click all of the advance options and type in your file Ex. "Windows/system32/TrojanDownloader.exe" but urs will be differnt and just deleate the file it tells you.

I have AVG and u should move back to it =) if ur not that smart of useing that other program.

If the virus is malicious enough, you may want to wipe your computer if there is confidential info stored on there. If the virus is real and a hacker is smart enough to block your access to the files then you may want to resort to ripping out your hard drive and smashing it with a sledge hammer. *laughs to himself* ahahaha. i find it hilarious that you have this virus because i know exactly how you got it. You most likely downloaded some itunes gift card generator. *thinks about giving a real answer* Ok what you want to do is download norton. This may cost more money but it is better than buying a new computer.
