isan,t the most important thing trying to help someone, instead of just gaining points, and who are these people who give all the points they wont even see you but a good answer will make a difference to a persons problem and will be more appreciated.

I agree, I try to give answers to help people with their problems. If I don't know anything about the subject, I don't answer. This is a forum to ask questions and get different opinions on the subject and that is great. I think some people just try to give the rudest answer or be funny just to get points. My goal is to try to help someone.

What word is ISANT!!!! how many people on here really give a rats *** about helping people? If an answer does, booya!!! But most of the questions are made up, so are the answers!!!

You're right, it is silly to only answer questions for points, but unfortunately that's exactly what most people are on this board to do. There are some intelligent and kind-hearted people on this board who truly want to help others; I wish there were more of them.

It's all in the mind set.

If you try to help people, the quality of that help is reflected in the number of best answers you get.

But, yes, I agree with you about accumulating points. That's just an ego trip that some people enjoy.

The point accumulation does help the answerer psychologically, however.

Yes it is, I have always tried to answer something with an actual answer not silly things, whats the point of just doing it for the points anyways ? its not like you get a prize...

yes !!! but theres two sides to it !! the other is called "fun"
i help where i can !! and was helped a great deal yesturday , 1 question 3 answers and found out what i needed ??? but i also note the appreciation of making people grin
