When you say traditional outlook, what do you mean? It's point to ponder over because a lot of Indians actually know nothing about there traditions. All they know about is rites and rituals (although not on sufficient levels). How many of Indians, both men and women, out there do actually understand the ethics of our culture?

Our ethics as mentioned in the books repeatedly state the significance of both man and woman as to different sets with different capabilites and different set of duties. But the problem is, men started taking their freedom for granted and women started nagging about their duties. We gotta understand that we have to co-operate to keep the wheel moving. If anyone of us starts deviating the whole structure would soon collapse.

I'm sorry to say but men are not the only culprits. Even women are nowadays taking undue advantage of freedom and love offered to them. Earlier they were responsible for keeping the families intact, now they are responsible for splitting them; earlier they were the ones who could save the most of the earnings of their man, now they are the ones who spend the most. Earlier they used to find pleasure in being with their man, now they find it as an act of compromise. Earlier they used to find no difference between their in-laws and their parents, now they believe that in-laws are their only enemies. Earlier a girl in her teens used to maintain her values, now she flaunts.

The bottomline is that since the generations, both men and women have lost thier ethics wtih respect to being an integral part of the society. To stablaize the situation back to normal, both of them will have t oco-operate...

:-)

The Indian guys are never sure of what they want or what they do. It all depends on some new style from a movie or what their favorite heroes wear.

No, their mentality will never change even after several decades. They are like "A sheep in Tiger's clothing".
