You know, I wouldn't be surprised if they made it to the playoffs and actually made some noise. They have one of the most explosive batting lineups in all of MLB. It's a shame that the AL is such a murderous league. They've made some improvements to their rotation, but they'd still have to deal with at least one of the AL central teams(Det. Chi.) and either Boston or NYY. The chances are better than they've been, but probably still 50/50, assuming they get into the playoffs.

Well the Yankees and the 2001 Diamondbacks were not the 2007 Texas Rangers. The Rangers have pitching woes. They're in a competetive division that they can win but I don't see them going on from there.

A team without much pitching, in the AL West with the Angels, so desperate they sign Sammy Sosa... not a chance.

The Texas Rangers have a long way to go. They need pitching in the worst way and they still don't have a clue in what the hell they are doing.

mediocre at best. they have a freshman new manager as well who has spent most of his career as a coach. No minor league managerial experience or even pro experience. I love Ron Washington, but coaching and managing are two entirely different things.
it will be a sad day in oakland to see him in something besides the green and gold.
