Why are Democrats so hated by the Christian American Community?

How do republicans want government out of their lives? They roll over when the government uses billions of dollars of our tax money for illegal wars when it could be better put to use here at home. You guys also don't mind if the government collects your bank statements, emails, phone records, etc. If anything Republicans are the ultimate proponents of government intrusion upon our civil liberties.

Blacks traditionally vote Democratic because they tend to represent the interests of minorties better than the Republican party does. Plus they are sensitive to the bigoted statements which spew from the elected officials and their supportors.

Also, the loss of an entire american city under the watch of Bush which was primarily black hasn't helped either.

To the first question:
I honestly don't know. The Republican Party was started in Michigan as an abolitionist (anti-slavery) party. Historically, Republicans have done far more to promote civil rights than any other party, including the democratic party (In fact, a card carrying KKK member, Robyrt Byrd, is a prominent Democrat). The only thing I can figure is that Republicans are not a pro-welfare party. They don't believe in giving handouts, and sadly, there are some in the black community (a minority, I suspect and hope) who believe that this country owes them for what their anscestors endured.

To the second question:
The democrats are hated for several reasons...
1) They support abortion, the slaughter of the unborn.
2) They support redefining marriage to favor homosexuals.
3) They have support from organizations like ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) and the pedophile organization NAMbLA (National Man-boy Love Assosiation, an organization which contends it is actually healthy for boys as young as twelve to have older, male sexual partners... Essentially, it promotes the molestation of children).
4) The democrats get major support from mid-east terror leaders (just look at some of the statements by said leaders during the '06 election).

These are just a few reasons... Now which "hatred" is more legitament?

I think this question is very generalized, and it is going to produce biased answers. So here is mine:

republicans support business. They are generally upper middle class whilte americans, but minority business owners are sometimes republicans too. If the African American Community does, in fact, hate republicans, I would guess that the reason is because republicans aren't generally known as a "spread-the-wealth" party, and they continue to see the gap between lower, middle, and upper class widen.

Someone else will have to take the democrats one, because I live with a repubilcan.

Certainly, be reading the posts on this forum...it is a natural conclusion. Hopefully, however, it is not an accurate depiction of the general population.

Hatred and intollerance is in abundance in the US today...sad, but true. People don't even listen to the 'other side'...they simply pick a word or two out of an entire speech and use it to their advantage...to further their own hatred for that party or candidate.

While I am looking very much forward to a change in 2008, I'm afraid that it won't end the hatred. It will only intensify as the time draws nearer. How can America become a united country again? That is the real question....

I think you're generalizing too much. There are many Republican African Americans and not all Christians hate Democrats. I think you're basing your opinions on the biggest mouths and not the facts.

African Americans because it is instilled in them at birth. Many blacks when they get older realize that maybe they were misinformed and become conservatives.
Democrats are not hated by the Christian Community. Hate is a pretty strong word.

Democrats are promising to give the black community everything. It's easier for you to agree with someone who will give you something than to say I will go and earn it myself. It's a seductive siren song.

As for the Christian community, when you have the ACL(screw)U declaring a covert war on Christianity. Read David Limbaugh's book "Persecution". The ACLU is totally in the corner of the Democrat Party.

The fact that republicans do poorly among blacks has always seemed odd in light of the advantages the GOP would bring to black America. On social issues most blacks are pro-life, anti-gay marriage traditionalists. Because blacks on average have a shorter life span I would think they would favor social security reform that would include some privatization. Blacks are overwhelmingly victims of underproforming urban schools and are more likely to support school choice than whites, yet constantly vote for those opposed to that issue. It must be that the leaders in the black communities have done a good job of misinforming black America as to the advantages of supporting Republicans for their own benefit

Lower income blacks think the republicans expect too much from them. Like being responsible for their own kids. But, the republicans have put many hard working blacks in positions of power. I think its just the lower income blacks that hate republicans.

Christians don't hate democrats, just some of the stances they take on mainly abortion and gay rights because it goes against their core beliefs.

Respectfully, permit's verify the checklist. The Civil Rights Act would not have handed with out bipartisan help. Senator Dirksen R-IL led the GOP help and became instrumental in getting it handed. It wasn't a Dem or GOP subject as much as a interior of sight subject. in fact, different GOP Senators have been on board rallying help, mutually with Sen Goldwater R-AZ. for my area, the GOP is for permitting persons to help themselves and the Dems are for social classes to help human beings. the two events think of they are extra ideal acceptable to unravel the country's issues.
