Obama has the potentailly shortest political life of any presidential candidate in history. If he tries to pull this off, he'll have to live with the fact that even a phony like Edwards lasted longer than he did.

America may be going to hell in a handbasket, but not everyone is in the basket yet!

There are ways of altering the action against Iraq, but even the slightest alter could result in the same effect of trying to jump from one canoe into another, mid-stream.Finishing the objective began in Iraq is a national issue and not a party issue and when voters and politicians come together on this fact, then resolution can become effective. I personaly don't think Obama has the capability to bring together the govenment authoritys to pull off what your speaking of. He'll be lost in the maze already created.

Help him. Republicans weren't gonna vote for Obama anyways and they are the only ones who would be upset by this, plus the majority of Americans do not support the war, so what does he have to lose? The resolution you are talking about would not pull us out of Iraq. It would redefine our goals as fighting AlQueda and training the Iraqi forces. I support the idea. It is similar to the plan presented by Rep. Warner.

I think it is difficult, at best, to put that genie back into the bottle. They (all Dems & Repubs) abdicated their responsiblity which created America's first emperor. No single person should ever be giving the authority to decide whether or not any country will start a war.

I think it helps Obama only because it is consistant with his stand against the Iraq war from the very beginning. If he were flip-flopping, I'd say it could hurt him.

Not legally. Obama sunk himself long ago, when the public sees his true far left voting record.
