Gosh, you've gotten some pretty weak answers to a really good question. Maybe I can help.
Virginia Commonwealth University has a great page of information called "Civil War Medicine Internet Resources". I've included that link for you. The link to Civil War battlefield medicine has specific information about Confederate medical care as well as the often overlooked (but probably immensely important in the day-to-day life of a soldier) dentistry.
