Ann Arbor Michigan...it is a stone's throw from Detroit (for culture, diversity, and urban lifestyle) it is a university town...public university that competes with Ivy League schools, and is on the cutting edge of medicine (U of M) and home to many distinguished alumni and argaubaly greatest college football team, several restaurants, clubs, art galleries, performance centers, etc...it is one of the only liberal cities in this state, and happens to have the best economy.

Any very large city or university town. DC, NY, for example are pretty liberal. Doesn't mean the surrounding areas are, just the city itself.
