You can use Microsoft's remote desktop or a VNC client to access your work machine provided you can find it an ip address.
But what sounds like you want to be doing is downloading large content using your work's connection from home. Which i guess if you don't mind going to the office later, is fine --- but it makes little sense doing it to get it back home.
You'd be pouring a ton of water into a funnel, to still only get a trickle out of it.
The easiest way would simply be just e-mail yourself a list of things you want to download, and download them all next time you visit the office, and burn them to a CDR and take that home.

Almost any VNC (link below) would work but you would still have to talk with your IT people to get them to agree to making an IP alias for your machine that was visible to the Internet and set it so that only the VNC ports are forwarded to your machine.
Companies tend to frown on this because it adds a vulnerability to their intranet.

Talk to your IT folks. They probably already have a solution for you. If you start installing 3rd party software, or trying to "hack" your way through, you may end up getting in trouble, or worse. I have helped hundreds of employees do things like this from home, but they had to go through certain channels to get the right access.

there are lots of solutions. one of these is to use hamachi software free dowload from http://www.hamachi.cc/ . it is free. and also use the real VNC sofware. for this option u do not have to use your private ip. but make sure in your office responsible that u r going to do this operation.
good luck :)
