From the looks of things, it appears that we, Human Beings, are the cockroaches of the universe and were probably dropped here with some space garbage. Could this explain why inteligent life outside of our known word avoids us like the plague? After all, look how we are spreading like a bad disease and destroying this planet! I prefer to believe in creationism, this is a matter of faith, not proof.

Brendan, I think your confusing the Creationsist with Evolutionists. The Evolutionists (aka Darwins) have no clue, only specualtion and best guesses. In all of recorded history they have yet to prove all of what you see, feel, hear and smell evolved from a singe cell trillons of years ago. Its all crap. Creationists believe that a higher power created the different events and life forms that then evolved and grew into what we have today. They do have proof for their idea.

The problem with carbon-14 dating is that it's based on assumed constants rather than on hard science. Most scientists will readily admit that it is not good for dating long periods beyond a few thousand years.

But I never really liked the "wizard did it" cop out.
