I know this stock has no volume and no buyers, but what other requirements?

A stock is considered (in most cases) to be deemed worthless if there are no buyers (bids) or sellers (ask) for the security. Volume is not a relevant consideration. If there are people who would either like to buy or sell (whether they do or not) the security still has value.
